Bologna Children’s Book Fair continues on sharing the best of its expertise and know-how with the international children’s book community. From 4 to 7 May, the BCBF Online Special Edition brings to everyone its business, atmosphere, content and opportunities – including digital exhibitions, webinars, conferences, book trailers, live streaming announcements and much more.
The special online edition features two initiatives organised in the framework of ALDUS.
The BCBF Global Rights Exchange: an online hub for rights trading powered by the international rights platform PubMatch, will be launched on 4 May and open until the end of the year. All the most important editorial issues released every year on the occasion of the fair will therefore move to the online platform, allowing the almost 1500 exhibitors who already registered for BCBF 2020 to present their titles, make and receive offers and schedule video meetings. The platform will also be made accessible to publishers and literary agents who participated as visitors in 2019 and who had already pre-registered for the 2020 edition.
A unique edition in webinar format of the Dust Or Magic Masterclass (6 May 2020, 16:30 CET) for all those interested in and making digital media for children today. The digital event, will focus on the judge report from the BCBF prize, BolognaRagazzi Digital Award, for 2020 and look into the dramatic swings in the market for Covid content and the new discussions on screen time. Chaired by Warren Buckleitner, Founding Editor of Children’s Technology Review, President of the BRDA Jury (USA), the final part of the meeting will include Q/A led by Ed Nawotka from Publisher’s weekly. With Elena Pasoli, Exhibition Manager of Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Roberta Franceschetti, Co-Founder, Mamamò and TheContentMakers (Italy); Lucy Gill, Founder, Digills Consulting (UK); Neal Hoskins, Founder, Wingedchariot (UK).
The Masterclass is free. Registration in advance at this link is required.
