The
National Arts Council (NAC) was founded in 1991 to guide the development of art in Singapore and make it an integral part of people's lives. The aim is to create a vital cultural industry making art accessible to everyone and making resources available so that those with talent can emerge. From this perspective the Presentation and Participation Grant was conceived, a project aimed at financing a variety of artistic expression, including translations into foreign languages in order to spread national literature abroad.
